Portrait of Youna Park

I am currently at SNU PI Lab, advised by Prof. Youngjae Yu. I'm interested in how agents can learn to interact with the physical world efficiently, especially when they are uncertain about the consequences of their actions. Despite recent progress in robotics and world models, robots still struggle when they encounter objects, environments, or situations that differ from what they have seen before. I'm particularly interested in how an agent can recognize what it does not know and choose actions that help resolve that uncertainty, rather than simply committing to a prediction or relying on repeated trial and error. My research focuses on how agents can learn to gather the right information through interaction and use it to make better decisions.
